Getting Organized Before the Baby Arrives

Life with a new baby can be very chaotic especially for new parents but it doesn’t have to be if you get organized before your little bundle of love arrives.

Most expecting parents realize their lives are about to change drastically but until you experience it first hand for yourself it is incomprehensible.  While this time in your life is certainly full of joy and love like you never knew you were capable of giving, it is also a trying time.  Being organized will certainly help you adjust to your new life.

Before the baby arrives, be sure to get all the necessities, such as a crib, bassinette, car seat and a swing.  Baskets are a great way to keep organized in a baby's room.  You will also need clothes, diapers perhaps bottles, and wipes, etc.  Now double it! Babies use a lot more than what most new parents realize and in the event you got the right amount, you will have plenty of extra so you won’t have to worry about running to the store for diapers in the middle of the night.

If your budget allows for it have a house keeping service come in and scrub your house from top to bottom and make arrangements for someone to come weekly to clean and do laundry.

You are going to need to eat so go grocery shopping and stock up on all your favorite foods and beverages and prepare a few dozen meals you can freeze for a later date.

Make a schedule of family and friends that have volunteered to come and sit with the baby, clean, cook and anything else you may need help with and write it down on a calendar and make them a reminder note.

If you are wondering how this is getting organized, then obviously your little bundle of joy has not arrived yet and you will just have to trust me!
